All roads lead to the Downhills course near Corbridge on Saturday for the rescheduled Tynedale Point-to-Point Races.

The opening Izibella Welch Conditions Race for Veteran & Novice Riders at 1.30pm has 12 entries and should chiefly concern 2023 winner Ask Cory who scored twice at Friars Haugh last month, ultra-consistent Bintheredonethat, ex-chaser Not The Chablis and Supremely Lucky.

Eagles Rock was one of the most impressive winners of the season at Overton last month under a supremely confident ride from John Dawson and the youngster has the scope to step up in class in the Jan Mitchell Properties Conditions Race against the likes of Coole Hall and Nick Luck.

Ballydonagh Boy has won three of his five starts between the flags this season and is fancied to defy a 7lb penalty in the Womble Bond Dickinson Ladies Open Race from Oscar Wilde and Kingrullah.

Veteran chaser Slanelough rolled back the years at Hornby Castle last Saturday with a pillar-to-post victory on his first outing for Northallerton farmer Philip Greaves despite being expected to need the run. He is preferred to Frankies Fire and Glittering Love in the RBC Brewin Dolphin Men's Open Race.

The pick of the 15 entries in the Cavu Corporate Maiden Race are Can We Keep Him, Kilmore Rock, Reve De Niamh and Whats The Solution, with slight preference for the former who wasn't beaten far when fourth at Alnwick on his seasonal debut last term.

The 14 entries for the concluding 2m4f Fires In Stone Maiden Race include four-year-old debutants Peace Pact and Vadavvero from the Warwickshire yard of Francesca Poste. Others to note are ex-Irish hurdler Trust Me Nate who finished a close second at Friars Haugh last month, unraced Kalypso'chance and Easter Glory.

As usual, the main action will be preceded by two Mowden Hall School-sponsored Pony Races which have a total of 14 entries.
